Lotus name may go back to F1

The move has been created possible following discussions between your Lotus name’s legal rights holder, David Search, and Litespeed’s bosses Nino Judge and Steve Kenchington. Both Judge and Kenchington labored for Lotus if this last competed in F1.

Former F1 champion and Lotus racer Johnny Herbert may also be active in the project, serving as driver manager as well as an ambassador for that team, and so will former Renault and Toyota designer and sometime BBC pundit Mike Gascoigne.

Gascoigne stated: “For me to carry on my F1 career underneath the banner from the Team Lotus name which help to create it to its deserving world championship is fantastic”.

The FIA will settle if Team Lotus and yet another 13 2010 F1 applicants are effective this Friday.

Lotus won six drivers’ game titles and 7 constructors’ trophies, 73 race victories, 102 pole positions and 65 quickest laps during its 36 years in F1.
